Whitetail deer have always been a favorite subject of mine, so sculpting this leaping buck was long overdue. I always wanted to sculpt a deer with a massive 10-point rack, competely outstretched in a frantic leap for safety. This piece has lots of negative space and offers the viewer a glimpse of a majestic animal in the midst of making his 'great escape'.
